Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas is UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa. Prior to this, he served as the Secretary-General of the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States from 2010 to 2012, having headed the 15-member ECOWAS from 2006 to 2009.
Dr. Chambas also served in Ghana’s Parliament and as Deputy Minister for Education. He is a celebrated diplomat and a respected Ghanaian statesman.
