The ICT Centre is a two-storey facility at the Women’s Vocational Training Institute (WVTI) at Sokode-Lokoe, near Ho in the Volta region of Ghana. The $200,000 Information Communication Training Centre was built by Dr. Ken Kwaku with the financial support of donors from Tanzania, India, Lebanon, Mauritius, Malaysia, Namibia, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda and United States of America in honour of his late mother Ms Rebecca Agroh, a former Headmistress of the WVTI. The project also received a contribution from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Ghana Investment Centre for Electronic Communication, and the Gender Responsive Skills and Community Development Project, respectively. The Centre is fully furnished with state of the art equipments. The rationale behind Centre is to immortalize the legacies of Ms. Rebecca Agroh whose quest for the development of women, particularly rural women is unparalleled and also to provide the beneficiaries with the relevant skills for today’s competitive world of work while at the same time enhancing teaching and learning in the beneficiary institution.
